Additional performances will take place on Sound Transit&8217;s Link Light Rail connection from the airport to downtown Seattle from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
To kick off the new airport music feature, a launch party will be held in the airport&8217;s Gina Marie Lindsey Arrivals Hall at the south end of the baggage claim area from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will feature live performances by Seattle artists including Recess Monkey, Carrie Clark and the Lonesome Lovers, Fly Moon Royalty and Dusty 45s.

&8220;From Jimi Hendrix to the Wilson sisters, Chris Cornell and many others, the Seattle area has a strong music heritage,&8221; he said.
That sample of the region&8217;s musical heritage will come through background music from emerging Northwest artists, videos and announcements by local musicians and video segments on terminal monitors from local music stations and video sources.
&8220;The port is pleased to be a leader in this effort to promote the region&8217;s music industry and to increase the visibility of local musicians at the airport,&8221; said John Creighton, Port of Seattle commissioner. The port owns and operates Sea-Tac.
A multi-channel music player will be available through the airport&8217;s free Wi-Fi connection and a new mobile app will feature access to Northwest artists&8217; work.
